In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a contact form on our website, delivering a watch to our workshop, or engaging us for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not engage our services.

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and over. By engaging us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Service Description

We offer watch repair and restoration services including crown and stem renewal, dial and hand restoration, and heirloom calibre full service. Full descriptions of each service are available on our website's Solutions page.

We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion, including where a watch falls outside our current technical scope, where parts are unavailable, or where we assess that the requested work would not be in the best interest of the piece.

Our services are provided from our workshop in Bangkok, Thailand. We accept watches in person and, by prior arrangement, via secure post.

4. Service Engagement and Scope

Written Assessment

All services begin with a written assessment. No chargeable work is undertaken before you have received and approved the assessment in writing.

Scope Agreement

The scope of work is confirmed in writing before any service begins. Any work beyond the agreed scope requires a separate written discussion and your explicit approval before proceeding. We will not proceed with additional work based on a telephone conversation alone.

Timeline

We provide estimated timelines for each service at the time of scope agreement. These are estimates and not binding commitments. We will notify you in writing if any significant delay arises. Crown and stem services typically complete within a few working days to three weeks. Heirloom calibre services typically take five to eight weeks.

5. Pricing and Payment

Service prices are quoted in Thai Baht (THB) and are agreed in writing before work begins. Our current listed prices are:

Prices for work outside these defined services, or for additional scope identified during a service, will be quoted separately and require your written approval before proceeding.

Payment is due in full upon collection or delivery of the watch. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards. Parts sourced specifically for your watch must be paid for even if you withdraw from the service after parts have been ordered.

Refunds

If you withdraw from a service before any work has commenced, no charge applies. If work has commenced, you will be charged for the proportion of work completed and any parts sourced. Completed services are non-refundable unless we have demonstrably failed to carry out the agreed scope of work.

6. Your Watch in Our Care

We take reasonable care of all watches entrusted to us. Watches are stored securely when not on the bench and identified with a unique service reference throughout the service period.

We strongly recommend that you inform us of any known insurance cover on the watch before leaving it with us. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for mechanical failures unrelated to the work we have carried out.

We are not responsible for the loss of value associated with watches that are assessed and returned without service (where, for example, it is found that no viable repair is possible or cost-effective).

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, service descriptions, and design, is the property of ratanahq.world and is protected under applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without prior written permission.

Service reports, photographs, and written assessments produced by us in connection with your watch are provided for your personal use and for the ongoing record of the watch. They may not be published commercially without our consent.

8. Disclaimers

Watch repair involves inherent risk. Older mechanical movements may contain worn or fragile components that are not apparent from external examination. We will describe any such findings in the written assessment. We are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing conditions of this kind that could not reasonably have been detected prior to disassembly.

We do not represent that any service will restore a watch to its original factory specification. Results will depend on the condition, age, and availability of parts for the specific movement.

Our website is provided for informational purposes. Content on the website does not constitute professional horological advice for any specific watch or situation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the price paid for that service. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of sentimental value, loss of use, or diminution of collector value.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any matter for which liability cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may withdraw from a service at any time by notifying us in writing. Charges will apply as described in Section 5. We may decline to continue a service if circumstances arise that make completion impractical or inadvisable, in which case we will return your watch and charge only for work completed to that point.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. In the event of a dispute, we prefer to resolve matters informally by written correspondence. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.

12. General Provisions

These Terms and Conditions, together with the written scope agreement for any specific service, constitute the entire agreement between you and ratanahq.world with respect to that service. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not waive that right.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued engagement with our services after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
